SOR CORP Exempted Source Water Cut Meter (XC-WCM)

The SOR CORP Exempted Source Water Cut Meter (XC-WCM) is an advanced Dual Energy Gamma Meter (DGM) designed for accurate determination of the Water Liquid Ratio (WLR) in three phase flow consisting of gas, water, and oil. The system is engineered to operate reliably across a Gas Volume Fraction (GVF) range of up to 90 percent, enabling dependable water cut measurement under a wide variety of production conditions.

A key feature of the XC-WCM is its use of a very low activity gamma source, which is classified as exempted by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This eliminates the need for routine radioactive source licensing, specialized handling, and regulatory management, making the system easier and safer to deploy in the field.

The meter delivers stable and consistent performance regardless of flow regime or fluid characteristics. It is unaffected by emulsion formation, heavy oil properties, or phase transition, ensuring accurate water cut determination in complex multiphase environments.
